Georgia lands four-star EDGE Chase Linton for Class of 2025
The Georgia Bulldogs are back on the board in the Class of 2025, and this time, it’s one of the elite EDGE prospects in the cycle, as North Atlanta’s Chase Linton announced his commitment on Wednesday evening.
A 6-foot-4, 215 pound pass rusher, Linton ranks as the nation’s No. 107 overall prospect in the 2025 On300 Rankings. He also ranks as the No. 10 EDGE in the cycle.
Linton, a former Rutgers commit, becomes Georgia’s twenty-sixth commitment of the cycle, and he joins five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson and four-star EDGE Darren Ikinnagbon.
Georgia had been an odds-on favorite since decommitting in August, as the Dawgs pressed heavily following a standout camp performance in the summer.

It was clear that the Bulldogs were under heavy consideration from that time moving forward.
“They’re Georgia,” Linton said. “I’m from Georgia and it’s a big thing to get an offer from Georgia when you’re from there. I grew up rooting for them…”
The coaching staff in Athens was also a major factor in the decision.
“Coach [Chidera] Diribe has been on me hard. Since the original camp in June, we have been talking, he has been recruiting me and things have gone well,” Linton told On3’s Chad Simmons following his trip to Athens for the Georgia/Tennessee matchup. “What I love most about him is how in contact he is with my mom and my family. He is a really good and genuine person.”
Those feelings toward Diribe echoed earlier sentiments Linton shared upon picking up the offer from the Dawgs.“I worked out with coach Uzo-Diribe, Kirby Smart came to watch and then a couple of players came to work out with me to show me what to do and all that,” Linton said. “They’re really cool guys. I didn’t think I did as well as they said. I think it was them being a little nice but they said I did well. They said I’d have to have been really bad to not get the offer. They said if I went out there, I was going to get it.”
Chase Linton ranks as the No. 14 overall prospect in the Peach State per the On3 Industry Ranking.
