Georgia lands On300 four-star OT Dennis Uzochukwu
Georgia had been searching for offensive tackle help in the Class of 2025, and on Thursday, it appears the Bulldogs may have been able to address the need in a big way, adding the pledge of Peachtree Ridge lineman Dennis Uzochukwu.
Recently named a four-star prospect in the On300 ranking and the No. 189 overall prospect in the same ranking. He ranks as the No. 16 offensive tackle and No. 22 overall prospect in the Peach State per the On300. In the Industry Ranking, a weighted average of all four major recruiting services, Uzochukwu is a three-star and the No. 778 overall prospect.
Uzochukwu, who had previously been committed to Georgia State since early July, burst onto the major recruiting scene just as of late. Ole Miss was among those to enter the fold, but it was clear that the Bulldogs were a team he wasn’t going to be able to ignore, despite a late entry into the recruitment.
“It’s UGA, so no matter what you have to put that on the list and into contention,” Uzochukwu told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson recently. “That’s a great program, someone that has built themselves up and it’s an hour away. Being close to home and knowing that I’d be going to a great program (is good). I know I might not play the first year, but getting better is the main thing as well as getting in the weight room and getting bigger and stronger. After a year under my belt, that’s something that I’m going to explore.”

Once the Dawgs pulled the trigger, he didn’t have to wait long to make the call.
“I know it’s late, I know I have two weeks to decide but when Georgia comes knocking at the door, you can’t just turn your ear the other way,” Uzochukwu said after receiving the offer. “You have to listen to what they have to say. That means a lot. They are the program. They always produce at a high level.”
Dennis Uzochukwu becomes the twenty-seventh commitment of the Class of 2025 for the Bulldogs. He is the fifth offensive line commitment of the cycle, joining Cortez Smith, Juan Gaston, Dontrell Glover, and Mason Short.
