Georgia lands sought after TE Lincoln Keyes for Class of 2026
It didn’t take long for the Georgia Bulldogs to reap the rewards of a big performance in front of top recruits on Saturday night, as the Dawgs kicked off Sunday with the commitment of three-star tight end Lincoln Keyes for the Class of 2026.
The nation’s No. 353 overall prospect in the cycle, Keyes becomes the third commitment of the Class of 2026, joining four-star wide receiver Vance Spafford and four-star cornerback Jontavius Wyman. Dominick Kelly was formerly a member of the class, as well, but the four-star defensive back announced a reclassification on Saturday evening.
Lincoln Keyes has been high on the Dawgs for some time
For Keyes, a native of Saline, Michigan, Saturday was his second opportunity to see the Dawgs in person this fall, having attended the win over Clemson, as well. It was clear at that time that Georgia was a serious contender.
“Coach Hartley’s my guy for sure. I love how he is not just a coach, but who he is as a husband and person,” Keyes told On3’s Chad Simmons following that trip. “I would love for him to be my coach for my college career. Georgia is recruiting me heavily and we have a great relationship.”

It was a familiar refrain to his comments from the summer, which came shortly after earning his offer.
“I really like Coach [Todd] Hartley and what he has to teach and we have started a growing relationship which is important to me,” Keyes said after he received the news. “He’s a really good guy and husband and can make jokes with you and be fun to be around but also flip a switch and be hard on you when he’s your coach. His message is he loves hard workers, which is exactly what I am…“He likes how athletic I am and how I can split out a lot. He thinks I fit perfectly as a Georgia tight end, and that’s why he offered.”
And Keyes was clear that the program was a fit for him, as well.
“Georgia is definitely one of those schools (setting themselves apart),” Keyes said. “I love the coaches, players, facilities, and mindset there. It’s definitely a school I would consider.”
Keyes chose the Bulldogs over the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, and Auburn, among others.
