The SEC announced its all-conference teams on Tuesday, and Georgia, champions of the league, led the way with 13 players earning All-SEC honors. While Alabama and Ole Miss had four representatives each of the first-team, the Bulldogs’ overall count edged out the Ole Miss (9), LSU (7) and Texas (7).

Offensive lineman Tate Ratledge was the lone non-specialist on the first team, joined by kicker Peyton Woodring (kickoff specialist) and snapper Beau Gardner. Representation of the offensive line wasn’t done with the first team though. Dylan Fairchild and Jared Wilson earned second-team honors while Mykel Williams, Jalon Walker and Malaki Starks did so on the defensive side of the ball. Woodring added second-team place kicking, and a slew of others were included on the third-team: running back Trevor Etienne, linebacker Chaz Chambliss, defensive back Daylen Everette, defensive back Dan Jackson and punter Brett Thorson.

Ratledge, Starks and Williams were among the 16 SEC student-athletes who have no made multiple all-conference teams over the course of their career. Each did so last year while Starks and Williams was also SEC All-Freshman selections in 2022.

Georgia wrapped up conference play on Saturday with a 22-19 overtime win against Texas in the SEC Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The victory earned the Bulldogs the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoffs and a first round bye. They will play the winner of Notre Dame and Indiana (December 20th) in the Allstate Sugar Bowl and CFP quarterfinals January 1st in New Orleans.

The SEC’s individual award winners will be released Wednesday with the announcement of the All-Freshman Team coming on Thursday.

A few Georgia players are also up for national individual awards including the Thorpe Award (Malaki Starks), the Butkus Award (Jalon Walker), the Ray Guy Award (Brett Thorson) and the Patrick Mannelly Award (Beau Gardner). Head coach Kirby Smart was announced as a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award on Tuesday, one of nine remaining coaches in contention.
