The AP Poll after Week Two in College Football is out, and Georgia remains at No. 1. Atop the country with 55 first place votes, the Bulldogs outpace No. 2 Michigan by 82 points. A first place vote is worth 25 points, a second place 24 and so on.
Michigan received two first place votes, but they aren’t the only team outside of Georgia to get that kind of nod. No. 3 Florida State still riding high from a Week One win over LSU received three while Texas, up to No. 4 after its road win against Alabama, got two. The Longhorns were the biggest riser this week jumping up seven spots.
USC comes in at No. 5, swapping places with Ohio State. Then there’s Penn State, Washington, Notre Dame and Alabama to round out the top 10.
Tennessee comes in as the highest ranked team on Georgia’s schedule at No. 11. The Bulldogs will travel to Knoxville to take on the Vols on November 18th, just one week after a matchup against No. 17 Ole Miss in Athens.
