Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken has received a raise according to reports from Seth Emerson of The Athletic. Monken is set to enter his third season as the play caller for the Georgia offense, helping lead the Bulldogs to a top-10 scoring offense this past season, averaging 38.6 points per game.

According to Emerson, who obtained an open records request from UGA, Monken will receive $1.25 million in 2022, up from $1.1 million this past season. Georgia had yet to indicate whether the raise was a result of a new contract, which could come with additional years tacked on, or simply a raise.

Monken isn’t the first Georgia assistant to receive a raise this offseason. Will Muschamp and Glenn Schumann each will make $800,000 in 2022 as they share the title of co-defensive coordinator after Dan Lanning left for the head coaching position at Oregon. Schumann was previously making $600,000 while Muschamp, who joined the staff as a defensive analyst a year ago, was slated to receive $300,000. Meanwhile, offensive analyst Buster Faulkner, who helps Monken in working with the quarterbacks, got a $50,000 bump to $200,000 per year while Eddie Gordon, previously a graduate assistant, was promoted into a full-time quality control role. It’s also been reported that Bryan McClendon, Georgia’s new wide receivers coach, will make $700,000 while offensive analyst Mike Bobo will receive $100,000 in base salary.
