Georgia officially adds mammoth 4-star OL Juan Gaston
The biggest member of Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class is in the fold. The Bulldogs have announced the signing of Juan Gaston, a 6-foot-7 360-pound guard out of Westlake High School in Atlanta, Ga. Gaston becomes the fifth player to sign with UGA on National Signing Day and he’s the third offensive lineman.
Georgia had to work hard to land the massive prospect. Tennessee recruited Gaston heavily and landed his teammate, four-star wideout Travis Smith. The Volunteers were one of four teams, including Georgia, to host Gatson on an official visit. Oregon and South Carolina were the other two programs, both making strong pitches. All of those visits were in June.
In all, Gaston visited Georgia at least seven times during the recruiting process and that includes the first of his four official visits. Once those were done, he took the entire month of July to evaluate each program and came to a final decision in early August.

What you should know about Gaston…
“The beautiful thing about football is the way you can connect with people,” Westlake offensive line coach Goose Gibson told DawgsHQ after Gaston chose the the Bulldogs “I haven’t had the offensive line job long at Westlake. I actually started back in February, and I was at Carver-Atlanta before that. The first day, I met Juan and his family. They’re a beautiful family. Sister, two younger, brothers, mom, dad…just a beautiful family. As far as him as a person from the football side of it, he’s very athletic. He’s very strong, mentally tough when it comes to the game of football, and very knowledgeable when it comes to playing the offensive line position. Me, personally, I can see why he’s a four-star offensive tackle and one of the best offensive linemen in the state. It’s been a blessing coaching him so far. We haven’t been together long, but we have the season coming up. Just imagine what we can do once we get this rolling. He’s mindful and skillful when it comes to the game. He’s physically and mentally tough. He knows the offensive line position very well.”
