Elite tight end play is something the Georgia Bulldogs have been thriving on for years at this point, and today, they’ve added another key piece at the spot, officially signing Milton tight end Ethan Barbour on Wednesday.

A commit since September of 2023, Barbour joins a two prospect tight end class that also includes On3’s No. 1 tight end Elyiss Williams.

Barbour ranks as the nation’s No. 280 overall prospect in the Class of 2025 per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is the nation’s No. 14 overall tight end prospect and the No. 39 overall prospect in the cycle per the same metric.

Since announcing his commitment early on, Barbour took on the role of recruiter for the Bulldogs in a big way and was a vocal proponent of what Georgia had to offer.

“Georgia is going to develop you and they’re going to get you the ball,” Barbour said. “You’re going to have some attention taken off you as well. You have running backs that can catch the ball and you have tight ends that can catch the ball. You’re going to get developed and you’re going to get the ball at Georgia. That’s the main message to them.”

Ethan Barbour is a 6-foot-2 and a half, 240 pound prospect from Alpharetta, Georgia.

Ethan Barbour had his breakout game for Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton. The 6-foot-2.5, 240-pounder’s versatility was on display, as he lined up as an H-back, in-line tight end, wide receiver and short yardage rusher. Barbour finished with six catches for 172 yards and had two critical touchdowns in the second half. In the third quarter, Barbour took a direct snap and was able to make a defender miss on the edge before scoring from two yards out. He sealed the game late in the fourth quarter with a 72-yard catch-and-run, taking a short dump pass and outrunning the American Heritage secondary.
