Georgia OL Dylan Fairchild goes inside NFL Draft decision

Georgia offensive lineman Dylan Fairchild was ready in more ways than one for the NFL. Fairchild had another year of eligibility at Georgia. He decided that the boxes were checked for him to make his next move.
“It’s the next level,” Fairchild said to reporters at Georgia’s Pro Day. “I just want to continue to climb these levels and pursue the end game. I’m just ready. I just felt ready. This university has prepared me well. I’m excited for this next jump.”
Dylan Fairchild was raised in the Georgia fires
The former West Forsyth star came to Georgia with high hopes as a highly recruited offensive line prospect. He was humbled in his early days at Georgia. Fairchild blocked Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, Travon Walker, DeVonte Wyatt and others early in his college football days. Combining that group would cost millions of dollars nowadays and all of them have gone on to become NFL stars.
It was those days, the ‘bloody Tuesdays’ that helped him fast-track through college football to begin his NFL journey this spring.

“I think coming in as a freshman and sophomore, was super, super impactful in my career,” Fairchild said. “Being able to go against guys of that caliber is great, especially at a young age. You need to see it and feel it, what it’s going to be like when you gain. Just having that experience going into the next level makes me confident…(Bloody Tuesdays are) Bloody for sure. They’re fun. I think that’s what I’m going to miss the most is the grind. I know it’s a grind at this next level, too, but just going through what you go through here at Georgia, coming in as a freshman and having to go through the struggle, the fun is in the chase. So, it’s been a big blessing, for sure. I love it.”
Fairchild is ready to face whatever. Competition at Georgia is a prerequisite and Fairchild knows that playing in Athens carries that expectation at the next level as well.
“No matter what it looks like, no matter what the future holds, I’m going to continue to grow and climb up,” Fairchild said. “I’m never going to fear competition. I’m from the University of Georgia. We don’t fear competition. We compete. Our purpose is to compete. That’s what it is.”
