Georgia OL Tate Ratledge declares for NFL Draft
Georgia offensive lineman Tate Ratledge is off to the NFL. After five seasons in Athens, the All-American guard announced his intentions to enter the 2025 NFL Draft on Sunday, thanking all those that made his UGA experience possible in the process.
“Glory be to God! Without Him none of this would be possible. Thank you to Coach Smart, Coach Searels and all of the other coaches who have helped me grow as a man and player over the last 5 years. I wouldn’t trade the hours spent on the field, locker room or in the facility for anything,” Ratledge wrote. “To my teammates, thank you for being more than teammates. The bonds that have been created are ones that will last for life. I couldn’t ask for a better group to learn, grow and fight with each and every day. Better together.”
“Athens will always be special to me, but with that being said, I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. It has been an honor to be a University of Georgia Student Athlete. There truly is no tradition more wroth of envy, no institution worthy of such loyalty as the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs!”
Over the course of a five-year career in Athens, Ratledge started a total of 37 games at right guard, earning All-American selections in both 2023 (AP Second-Team) and 2024 (AP Third-Team, AFCA First-Team). Ratledge also was named to the All-SEC First-Team by both the AP and Coaches in each of the last two seasons.
