Xavier Truss spent a long time at the University of Georgia, six years to be exact. Now he’ll get a chance to play at the highest level. He wasn’t selected in the 2025 NFL Draft but he was quickly picked up by Denver as an undrafted free agent.

Truss signed with Georgia in the 2019 class and played for three different offensive line coaches. He was signed by Sam Pittman and spent one season under the current Arkansas head coach. Matt Luke, now at Clemson, coached him for two years and his final three were spent with Stacy Searles.

Truss’ Georgia career took a little time to get going. He redshirted in 2019 and saw no meaningful action until the final game of his second season. With the offensive line shuffled due to opt outs and injuries, Truss started at left tackle in Georgia’s Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl showdown with Cincinnati. He struggled mightily in that game but the Bulldogs were able to win it with a last-second field goal.

The 2021 season saw Truss appear in all 15 games as a reserve. The Bulldogs needed him to take on a bigger work load at Tennessee that season and he obliged by playing 64 total snaps.

Truss earned a starting role in 2022 and, for all intents and purposes, remained in the lineup for the rest of his career. His versatility kept him there. He made 14 starts at left guard as Georgia went 15-0 and won a second straight National Championship.

The former four-star prospects versatility and experience came in handy in 2023. Truss ended up playing four of the five positions on the offensive line, all except center. He started the season at left guard but moved to right tackle when Amarius Mims suffered a high-ankle sprain against South Carolina. Truss also made one start at right guard and shuffled over to left tackle in spot duty because of injuries.

In 2024 Truss saw action at the same four positions at different points. His primary spot was right tackle but he also spent significant time at right guard. Truss also saw a few snaps at left guard and left tackle as the Bulldogs were decimated by injuries at different points.
