New On3 rankings are out for the Class of 2024, and the Georgia Bulldogs gained a most welcomed boost for their newest commitment in the process.

Ryan Puglisi, who announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon, was among the nation’s biggest risers, climbing from unranked all the way to the No. 39 overall prospect in the nation.

Additionally, he is now ranked as the nation’s No. 3 overall quarterback for the Class of 2024.

Puglisi’s rise was heavily based upon his summer camp performances and in-person evaluations, sending the 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback’s stock soaring in the eyes of the ranking committee.

Charles Power, On3 director of scouting and rankings, explained why:

Ryan Puglisi (No. 39) is the biggest riser among quarterbacks in this update on the heels of multiple impressive camp showings along with an encouraging start to his junior season. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder has shown one of the strongest arms in the cycle. He generates considerable velocity and effortlessly drives the football to all levels. Puglisi — who committed to Georgia on Sunday — was a standout on the college camp circuit, landing offers from the Bulldogs and Alabama after throwing for each staff in June. He transferred to Avon (Conn.) Avon Old Farms for his junior season and has shown that high-end arm talent through a handful of games this season. While we’re still learning about Puglisi’s skill set as a complete quarterback, the arm talent and playmaking ability separate him from many of the other top quarterbacks at this stage.”

On3 director of recruiting Chad Simmons recently took in a game with Puglisi at the helm for his Old Avon Farms team and walked away with a strong evaluation of the newest Georgia commit.

Ryan Puglisi was under distress all evening against The Loomis Chaffee School. Their defensive line was in his face, chasing him out of the pocket, and in the passing lanes often. Puglisi still impressed. He has a live arm and he made some impressive throws. Puglisi showed touch, the ability to throw under stress, and he made throws from different arm angles. He showed great toughness. He made some plays with his legs and took many big shots,” Simmons said.

Elsewhere, other Georgia commitments saw rises.

Four-star tight end Landen Thomas, previously ranked as the nation’s No. 67 overall prospect, climbed up to No. 44 in the 2024 On300. He is also the nation’s No. 2 tight end per On3.

Another large riser for the Bulldogs was running back Tovani Mizell, who was previously unranked and now finds himself as the No. 170 overall prospect in the nation for the Class of 2024. He is considered the No. 15 overall running back for the cycle.

Of Mizell, Charles Power noted over the summer:

“Mizell impressed with his receiving skills at OT7, coming down with the best catches we saw from a running back not named Rueben Owens. We saw the Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Newman product come down a fantastic leaping touchdown catch, finishing with a toe tap in the corner of the end zone on Thursday. It’s always good to see running back prospects with receiver-level ball skills and that looks to be the case with Mizell.”

Georgia receiver commitment Ny Carr saw a tumble in this cycle, however, dropping from No. 22 nationally in the rankings to the No. 134 overall player.

Recent wide receiver pledge Sacovie White still remains unranked, which is no change from the previous update.

Currently, the Bulldogs hold the top-ranked recruiting class in the 2024 cycle.
