GEORGIA RECRUITING: Three Dawg targets set official visits
Georgia recruiting is in full swing even with the May doldrums upon us.
Here’s a quick look at three upcoming official visits.
Jalen Hale
A four-star wideout from Longview High in Longview, Texas, Hale put in a visit to Athens earlier this spring, and now, the return trip is officially set. The 6-foot-1, 173-pound receiver will be back to Georgia June 3 through 5. Hale ranks as the No. 71 overall prospect in the nation for the Class of 2023, as well as the the nation’s No. 12 receiver and No. 13 player in the Lone Star State. Southern California will also receive an official visit June 17 through 19, and Alabama is also among the top considerations for another stop.
Shamurad Umarov
A Consensus three-star offensive line prospect from Alpharetta’s Denmark High School, Umarov has seen the Bulldogs increase their pursuit in a major way since the arrival of Stacy Searels in Athens. He’ll plan to see the Dawgs on June 10 for his official visit after cutting his list to four options on Sunday per Jeremy Johnson. His process will be accelerated by his plan to commit prior to his senior season, so the trips will be big. “It feels awesome to know I’m wanted and that they care about me. Of course, it’s a huge deal to go to a school where you know everyone wants you there,” Umarov said of Georgia in March. “I definitely felt wanted. [Searels] being at Georgia is great because I had a great connection with him at UNC, so him being right under my nose is awesome. We’ve talked a lot and gotten to know each other even more.”

Out of Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia, Georgia joins Clemson, Penn State, and Miami on the list. Rojas will be in Athens for his official visit June 24 through 26. Rojas has been quite complimentary of Georgia’s linebacker work, especially in the recent draft.
