Georgia releases depth chart for Notre Dame in Sugar Bowl
NEW ORLEANS — The Allstate Sugar Bowl gets its own day in 2025 but it’s on unfortunate circumstances. Georgia and Notre Dame are doing battle on January 2 after the game was postponed due to a New Year’s terrorist attack on Bourboun Street that killed 15 and left dozens more injured. Now it’s game day and DawgsHQ is providing you a look at the team’s depth chart.
Quarterback
- Carson Beck
- Gunner Stockton
- Ryan Puglisi OR Jaden Rashada
*** Beck is out for this game. Georgia will start Stockton at quarterback and Puglisi is the likely backup. Beck had surgery to repair ulnar collateral damage in his right/throwing arm. It is Stockton’s first career start.
Running Back
- Trevor Etienne
- Branson Robinson
- Roderick Robinson
- Nate Frazier
- Cash Jones
*** Neither Robinson will be available for this game. Branson suffered a torn meniscus and will miss the rest of the season and Roderick suffered a broken ankle and will miss the rest of the season. Georgia will lean on the trio of Etienne, Frazier, and Jones.
Wide Receiver (X)
- Dillon Bell
- Cole Speer
Wide Receiver (Slot)
- Dominic Lovett
- Anthony Evans
Wide Receiver (Z)
- Arian Smith
- London Hummphreys
Tight End
- Oscar Delp OR Ben Yurosek OR Lawson Luckie
- Jaden Reddell
- Colton Heinrich
Left Tackle
- Earnest Greene
- Bo Hughley
- Jahzare Jackson
*** Greene hasn’t started Georgia’s last four games due to a nerve injury in his shoulder. He has worked his away back to healthy and has competed with Freeling for that starting job.
