Updates to the 2025 On300 were released on Monday, and with that comes a new look at the nation’s top recruiting classes. Sitting at No. 5 just 24 hours ago, the combination of a commitment from four-star cornerback Shamari Earls and the rankings update has Georgia up two spots to No. 3 in the nation according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

The Bulldogs have passes LSU and Oregon but still trail Ohio State and Alabama for the top spot. Kirby Smart signed the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class in 2024, his third overall. Groups in 2018 and 2020 also came in at No. 1, and Georgia could have a shot to get there this year too as it continues to add elite talent.

A trio of five-stars headline the class for UGA. EDGE Isaiah Gibson, who gained five-star status according to On3 on Monday, comes in as the highest-rated player in the 18-person class. He’s ranked No. 20 in the nation with tight end Elyiss Williams and linebacker Zayden Walker not far behind at No. 22 and No. 23 respectively. All three are the top-ranked players for their positions.

Talyn Taylor (No. 48 overall, No. 8 WR), the aforementioned Earls (No. 64 overall, No. 6 CB) and Darren Ikinnagbon (No. 75 overall, No. 9 EDGE) are also top-100 players per the On3 Industry while Christian Garrett (No. 127 overall, No. 11 DL), Ryan Montgomery (No. 156 overall, No. 12 QB), Ethan Barbour (No. 190 overall, No. 11 TE) and Todd Robinson (No. 193 overall, No. 8 ATH) crack the top-200. Georgia rounds out its class currently with linebacker Jadon Perlotte, interior offensive lineman Mason Short, interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover, athlete Thomas Blackshear, wide receiver Tyler Williams, running back Bo Walker, defensive lineman Stephon Shivers and wide receiver Landon Roldan.

Of course, the Dawgs aren’t done adding talent with decisions continuing to roll in as the days go on. Four-star safety Jaylan Morgan makes an announcement on where he’ll play his college football later on Monday. Coveted in-state wide receiver Travis Smith will commit on Saturday before the next week brings a quartet of top-tier prospects announcing decisions. Rashad Johnson (July 14), Bryce Davis (July 20), Christian Gass (July 20) and Cortez Smith (July 20) have decision dates set. Others to come include Anquon Fegans (July 29), Juan Gaston (August 2), Lagonza Hayward (August 7), Jontae Gilbert (August 10) and David Sanders (August 17).

Don’t forget about the possible commitments that could pop at any time. Five-star defensive linemen Elijah Griffin and Justus Terry are both big time prospects for the Bulldogs. Running back Ousmane Kromah is a target, as is offensive tackle Damola Ajidahun. So, while Georgia currently sits at No. 3, don’t be surprised if the Bulldogs make a jump even higher before too long.
