Georgia vs Samford postgame: wake up with The Georgia Show
Georgia vs Samford is in the rearview. DawgsHQ broke it down right away after the #2 Bulldogs beat the FCS Bulldogs, 33-0.
Kirby Smart banged the drum after the game that this performance wasn’t up to the Dawgs’ standard.
Georgia only scored three touchdowns against the 52-point underdogs in its first return to Sanford Stadium as defending National Champions.
What all did DawgsHQ’s Jake Rowe see from his perch in the Georgia press box during the performance?
He joined me on The Georgia Show live after the game.

The stories of this game? Offensive frustrations and defensive success
Georgia settled for several field goals in red zone attempts, and Stetson Bennett was off the mark on several passes.
The Mailman also took a sack on a squirrelly scramble that ultimately cost the Dawgs three more points.
Still, Georgia fans – and Kirby Smart – will likely have to take the highs with the lows out of Bennett this season.

Despite the struggles and unpredictability, Bennett once again finished with at least 300 yards passing (300, to be exact, in this game).
He’s done that in four of his last five games dating back to last season’s SEC Championship loss to Alabama.
Bennett delivered one touchdown pass to freshman Dillon Bell, and rushed for another.
Once again, running back Kenny McIntosh paced Georgia through the air (receiver AD Mitchell left the game with an ankle injury, but Kirby Smart said he could have returned if needed).
Todd Monken’s offense is like the Upside-Down in ‘Stranger Things.’
The stats don’t always play out how you think they should.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s championship doesn’t appear to have left with all of the talent that went to the NFL.
The Dawgs still haven’t allowed a touchdown through two games this season.
