The Georgia Bulldogs broke an almost two month drought when it came to commitments on Saturday, landing the pledge of four-star running back Ousmane Kromah of Leesburg, Georgia’s Lee County High School.

Kromah currently ranks as the nation’s No. 112 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He checks in as the No. 5 running back nationally and No. 13 prospect in the Peach State by the same metric.

At almost 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, Kromah was coveted by the likes of Auburn, Florida State, and Tennessee, but it was the Bulldogs who won out for his services in the end, thanks in large part to a strong push for new Georgia running backs coach and former Lee County coach Josh Crawford.

“Coach Crawford told Kirby Smart, that’s my guy, that’s the running back that I want and he said, ‘go get him’ and ever since they’ve been on me like crazy,” Kromah told DawgsHQ last week. “That makes me feel some type of way. It makes me feel wanted. It makes you feel like someone has belief in you.”

The relationship with Georgia was decidedly up and down throughout, with Dell McGee’s contact somewhat light, but with Crawford’s addition, connection to the area, and Kromah’s strong senior showing, there was little looking back.

“They weren’t as high on me I would say as they have been since Coach Crawford got in,” Kromah said back in May. “It’s been like every day they’re calling me. Before, it was once in a while. I still like Georgia, so I was still thinking about them. But, he (Crawford) has shown that they care.”

In the end, however, it was the Bulldogs who were able to win out.

Ousmane Kromah becomes twenty-second commitment of the Class of 2025 for the Georgia Bulldogs, and he joins the long committed Bo Walker as the second running back of the cycle of the Bulldogs.
