Georgia is a day away from holding its biggest planned recruiting weekend of the year. Other weekends might be bigger, but Scavenger Hunt weekend is on the books because the Bulldogs aim to get the best players on campus and show them the best time possible.

It comes just a few days after five-star quarterback and nation’s No. 1 prospect Dylan Raiola gave his commitment to Kirby Smart and company. He’ll be in town for it to help the coaching staff do it’s thing.

It was also the topic of the latest episode of The Georgia Show, hosted by Wes Blankenship. Jake Reuse comes on to discuss where the idea for the scavenger hunt came from and the guys break down what it’s all about.

Sure, it’s there to keep the players engaged and have them spend time with their prospective position coaches, but it also serves to accentuate the best parts of the Georgia campus and Athens in general.

Broderick Jones gives Georgia major kudos…

Blankenship and company also dig into some recent comments from UGA offensive lineman Broderick Jones. In an interview with The GOAT Farm, Jones goes off (in a good way) about the way Georgia prepared him for the next level.

“Ain’t nothing (sic) like Georgia. Ain’t no college doing it like Georgia,” Jones said. “If you want to go to the league, if you want to be prepared, that’s the best way to go. Because they’re going to get you prepared for the next level. They’re going to stay on you about everything, like the smallest details, they on you about it. The ringer, it’s different because they prepare you like no other school. I can say that because I’ve got friends that go to different schools and they tell me. They talked to me about their schedules and I know my schedule and it’s totally different. It’s a big difference, you can tell.”

Jones was drafted No. 14 overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers late last month. He came into UGA as a five-star prospect but waited his turn, sitting for the better part of two seasons before getting a chance to start.
