The Georgia Show

Georgia Hoops is a THING

Mike White and the boys are making some noise on the hardwood, and you know what they’re doing must be special if we’re opening the Georgia Show with it. The Bulldogs pulled off two ranked wins in a row, overcoming No. 6 Kentucky and No. 17 Oklahoma, and they did so in impressive fashion, particularly in being favored over the Sooners and covering the spread in the process. Seeing Georgia basketball with some expectations around it and being able to deliver on them? Excuse us if that feels out of the ordinary. Can the Dawgs sustain this run? There are two more major challenges looming this week, and that will tell us a great deal about how far this team can truly go.

As the Transfer Portal Turns

There was, of course, the Carson Beck transfer news to get to this week, and while it was a shocker to many, we dove in on some the reasons that it perhaps shouldn’t have been. Does it make sense for both parties to have moved on? Then, we turn our attention to the likes of the safety duo of Adrian Maddox and Jaden Harris, as well as wide receiver Noah Thomas. How do those new additions help shape their respective rooms? What do we think about how the Dawgs have done overall in the portal window? (Hint: I was pretty impressed, all things considered).

The National Championship is set

While it’s not directly about the Dawgs, we’d be remiss to not discuss the Notre Dame/Ohio State matchup and what it says about the state of college football at large. Can the Buckeyes be the first team to deliver with major NIL money spent on a roster? Do the Irish have the athletes to slow down the Ohio State passing attack? We broke it all down, plus offered up our predictions as to how this one may see itself play out.
