Georgia Show Q&A: Giving answers to YOUR UGA questions
On the most recent episode of The Georgia Show, it’s a two-man ordeal. No Rowe. No Reuse. No Rusty. Palmer and Wes hold down the fort for you all on a Wednesday night.
Conversation starts with Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey. Sparked by a tweet from Reese’s Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy, we discuss what the draft profile for this Dawg looks like as he heads into what’s expected to be a big season.
McConkey finished second on the team in receiving last year in terms of yards, catches and tied for the team-high in receiving touchdowns. He had the second-most catches and scores the year before. There’s no doubt about what the ol’ Laddy has done during his time in Athens. With another strong showing in 2023, we – and Jim Nagy – think he could be one of the top pass catching prospects.
It’s not a Georgia Show without some Georgia-Florida talk, right? Given all the recent news of a possible temporary home-and-home for the Bulldogs and Gators, the schools’ contract extension to stay in Jacksonville through 2025 and of course the stadium renovations set to take place on the banks of the Saint Johns River (the cause of the temporary home-and-home).

With HOK, an engineering firm who coincidentally have played a part in a couple of Georgia-related renovations as well, releasing renderings of what the new Jacksonville stadium should look like, Wes and Palmer dive into what that means for Georgia-Florida.
Finally, for the bulk of the show, we dive into listener submitted questions. Thanks to everybody who submitted on the Dawg Walk. If you’re not subscribed and want to be a part of it next time, be sure to take advantage of our ongoing countdown to kickoff offer – $1 for three months or 50% off for a year!
Of course, we wrap up the show by Choppin’ Wood on this Wednesday where new Georgia baseball coach Wes Johnson is the topic of discussion. What does his background look like and what does he bring to the table for the Bulldogs? You’ll have to tune in to find out…
