On the newest edition of The Georgia Show, we’re talking about the trenches. First, it’s Michigan’s “Beat Georgia” period and what that might look like in Ann Arbor. Then, it’s the Class of 2024 and the work Stacy Searels is doing on the recruiting trail with SEVERAL major decisions coming up and spots getting tight!
Beat Georgia
Earlier this week we learned, thanks to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, that the Michigan Wolverines have a “Beat Georgia” period as a part of their practices now. Jim Harbaugh and company matched up against the Bulldogs in the 2021 Orange Bowl – a semifinal for the College Football Playoffs that year – and things went the way of the red and black.
While Michigan has won back-to-back Joe Moore Awards for the play of their offensive line, Georgia has back-to-back National Championships to show for its work (and we think the emphasis of this period would STILL be on the line of scrimmage and the physicality that it takes to beat the Bulldogs!).
Offensive Line Recruiting
Georgia has two commits already in the Class of 2024 on the offensive line. Malachi Toliver has been on board the longest while Marcus Harrison joined just this spring.

That won’t be all for the Bulldogs as they build the Great Wall of Georgia. Several top prospects have decisions upcoming including a couple that UGA is trending for after recent visits.
Michael Uini – June 30
Nyier Daniels – July 7
Marques Easley – July 8
Choppin’ Wood
Of course it wouldn’t be a Wednesday edition of The Georgia Show if we weren’t Choppin’ Wood! With plenty to discuss such as Fran Brown and his ability to help in multiple areas, Georgia players (both past and present) reelin’ in some big ones this summer, the Bulldogs’ overall athletic success as shown in the Directors Cup, Amarius Mims’ perfect build to be an offensive tackle and the wide reach of Georgia’s Class of 2024, you WON’T want to miss this.
