Georgia signees impressing early in Adidas All-American Game
Georgia signees are off to a strong start in the All-Star game season, with Raylen Wilson named one of the top overall performers by On3 in the Under Armour All-American Game.
Wilson ranked No. 5 overall for the week, with On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power noting, among other things, that ‘the Georgia signee made a number of ‘wow’ plays. Wilson was an eraser, flashing his sub 11.0 second 100-meter speed closing quickly. He also showed a translatable skill-set as a downhill run defender, knifing through the line to make several impressive stops.’
On Tuesday, those taking part in the Adidas All-American Game took to the field for their first practice, and a fresh crop of future Bulldogs were among those making the most noise per On3.
A trio of the Georgia 2023 class landed on the top performers of the day.
Monroe Freeling – Offensive Tackle
Georgia’s highest-rated offensive signee clearly caught eyes with his day in San Antonio and ranked as the the No. 2 overall performer on the East Team.
Of the performance, Power offered:
“Freeling was the top offensive lineman in what is a very strong group on paper for the East team. The 6-foot-7, 295-pounder is the tallest, most well-built offensive lineman on the East. Freeling more than looked the part on the field, as well. The Georgia signee was strong in 1-on-1’s, using his quick feet and length to run defenders out of the play. We also liked the level of physicality and anchor at the point of attack that Freeling showed when facing a bull rush. He continued the strong play in the team period. Freeling was a wall on the left side, seamlessly passing off blockers and dealing with stunts from the defensive line. The Isle of Palms (S.C.) Oceanside Collegiate product ranks as the No. 27 overall prospect and No. 4 offensive tackle in the On300.”
Jordan Hall – Defensive lineman
One of the nation’s most coveted defenders, Hall made his signature official with the Bulldogs on Thursday of the early signing period.
The early returns on the field in the Alamodome reinforce why he was such a key piece for the Bulldogs in the Class of 2023, with his performance ranking him as the No. 3 performer on the East.

“If Keon Keeley was the top EDGE for the East, then Jordan Hall was the top defensive lineman. The Georgia signee showed why he’s considered to have one of the best first steps in the 2023 cycle, darting into the backfield on several occasions, both in 1-on-1 and team periods. Hall has rare movement skills and quickness for a 6-foot-3, 315-pounder. He converts his speed to power and uses the considerable length and power to disengage at the point of attack. The readymade size along with the ability to disrupt as a pass rusher, makes Hall look like one of the top defensive linemen in the 2023 cycle. Hall ranks as the No. 29 overall prospect and No. 4 defensive lineman in the On300. – Charles Power”
Pearce Spurlin – Tight End
And not to be outdone, Spurlin showed up with something to prove after dealing with injury in his senior season.
It appears he was back in the groove quickly, earning him the No. 4 spot on Power’s list for the East.
“Georgia Pearce Spurlin missed most of his senior year with an injury, but is full-go in San Antonio. The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder looks the part with a translatable frame, length, movement skills and catch radius. We saw Spurlin come down with some impressive grabs over the course of the day, dropping to catch low-thrown passes and elevating for jump balls. He was at his best in 1-on-1’s during the afternoon session winning a competitive rep against Caleb Downs, coming down with a contested catch. He later beat West Virginia linebacker signee Josiah Trotter on a vertical route. Spurlin ranks as the No. 117 overall prospect and No. 4 tight end in the On300. – Charles Power”
