Georgia slots in second spot for College Football 25 defensive ratings
We got the offensive rankings earlier today. Well, now it’s the defense’s turn – and you know as long as Kirby Smart is in Athens, Georgia’s going to be near the top.
The Bulldogs come in at No. 2 according to EA Sports, behind Ohio State for the nation’s No. 1 spot, with ratings of 94 and 96 respectively. Others in the top 10 include Oregon, Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, Utah and Penn State.
When it comes to Georgia’s defense, there are stars at every level. Mykel Williams, Nazir Stackhouse and Warren Brinson are all veterans on the line of scrimmage. There’s talent outside of them with the likes of Christen Miller, Jordan Hall and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins ready to emerge. Smael Mondon, CJ Allen, Raylen Wilson and Jalon Walker are names to know on the second level while the secondary features without a doubt one of the top safeties in the nation, Malaki Starks, and several others that have high potential like Daylen Everette, Julian Humphrey and Joenel Aguero.
Of course, the defensive unit ranking comes on the heels of receiving word that Georgia’s offense is ranked No. 1 in the game and that when the Bulldogs are at home, opponents are entering one of the nation’s top-5 toughest places to play.
