Georgia stars Tre Phelps, Kolten Smith named All-Americans

The hype leading into Georgia’s 2025 baseball season continues to build. Two of the Bulldogs’ top returning stars earned preseason honors.
Georgia sophomore outfield Tre Phelps and junior pitcher Kolten Smith were named preseason All-Americans by Baseball America.
Phelps made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2024. He hit for a .353 batting average, 12 home runs and 40 runs batted in.

Smith led the team in wins with nine and strikeouts with 105 strikeouts. He had a 5.56 earned run average as Georgia pushed to a 43-17 record. The Bulldogs hosted an NCAA Super Regional in Athens before being defeated by NC State one game from the College World Series.
The season opens in 10 days. Georgia will open on the road with an opening series against Quinnipiac University on Feb. 14.
