We’re on to Week 10 in College Football and Georgia comes in ranked at No. 2 in the AP Poll. Kirby Smart’s squad received one fewer vote for the top spot than it did last week, still trailing Oregon but coming in ahead of Penn State and Ohio State ahead of their big showdown next Saturday.

Miami and Texas flipped spots in the top-10 with the Hurricanes at No. 5 and Longhorns No. 6. Tennessee (No. 7), Notre Dame (No. 8), BYU (No. 9) and Texas A&M (No. 10) round out the top-10.

Texas and Tennessee represent Georgia’s highest ranked opponents. Clemson (No. 11), Alabama (No. 14) and Ole Miss (No. 19) also find themselves inside the top 25.

Coming off of its second bye week of the season, Georgia has five games to go before their fate is up in the air. That stretch starts with a date against rival Florida in Jacksonville this coming Saturday. A road trip to Oxford to take on Ole Miss follows that with three straight home games against Tennessee, UMass and Georgia Tech to close out the regular season.

“My mind is so far removed from (that) game and so far on what we’ve got coming down the road,” Smart shared in a radio interview late last week. “When you look at our future opponents, it’s scary because of the talent level those teams have and the amount of improvement each one of those teams has shown too.”

“Florida is good. Florida’s got a really good football team, and I’ve been telling people that all year,” he added. “Their personnel, their size, they have the best looking defensive front and offensive front probably in the league because they’re deep and they got a lot of big guys. They’ve got a quarterback that’s playing really well. We recruited a lot of them and lost on a lot of them.”

Georgia-Florida is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC this Saturday at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. Holding an all-time advantage of 56-44-2 in the series that dates back to 1904 – at least according to UGA – the Bulldogs are favored by 18.5 in this year’s 103rd meeting.
