Georgia tight end coach Todd Hartley had a good day. Georgia landed a commitment from 2024 On3 4-star TE Landen Thomas (Colquitt County).

The 6’4″, 238-pound weapon out of Moultrie, Georgia, looks like he’ll fit right in to the tight end wall Hartley assembled in recent years.

This is Hartley’s fourth season on Kirby Smart’s Georgia staff. He’s a Georgia grad and worked several years on Mark Richt’s staffs as well.

He takes this tight end thing seriously. Check out Hartley’s commemoration of another big day in Georgia tight end history late Thursday night.

I don’t know if Hartley had this Georgia tight end pool party the same day Landen Thomas committed or not

But whenever he had everyone over, just take a look at the group of athletes in this photo.

Todd Hartley’s resume is impeccable, as I wrote recently after Georgia extended his contract and gave him a raise.

I’ve also written extensively about my take that the Dawgs and Todd Monken will unleash Hartley’s crew in a way that College Football hasn’t seen.

With Brock Bowers, Darnell Washington, Arik Gilbert, Oscar Delp, et al. in the same room… you have to find a way to get them the ball.

And it they don’t all get the ball, they’ll be blocking for the people who do.

Yes, Thomas’s commitment was a ‘Good Day’ indeed.

And there are many more where that came from for Georgia’s tight end group.
