Georgia vs Missouri: what Munson would've worried about

Georgia vs Missouri week still doesn’t have much of a vibe to me. Most SEC opponents give you some old familiar feeling, or notable moment to celebrate.
It’s only been an official SEC series since 2012, so I get it.
The fact is, this series will always fail to measure up to Georgia’s other Southeastern Conference showdowns.
‘Grown Man Football’ in 2012 set the tone for the series. Nick Chubb filled in for a suspended Todd Gurley in 2014, and Jacob Eason flashed some late-game killer instinct on the touchdown pass to Isaiah McKenzie.
Hey, things tend to go pretty well for Georgia when it plays the Tigers. And in Columbia to boot.
Mizzou’s only win in the series came in 2013, against an injury-wrecked team. Not only did Georgia enter its game vs Missouri with starting wide receivers out, Aaron Murray also only had backup tailbacks. and he threw two interceptions.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, the play’s been swell.
Georgia currently outscores Missouri 286-110 since 2012.
But if you’ve been following my weekly ‘What Munson would’ve worried about’ pieces, you know that it’s never that easy.
Munson would’ve turned 100 years old this past Wednesday. His spirit of beloved pessimism lives forever.
Ya know, I would’ve turned 100 years old this week you guys
I certainly would’ve celebrated with a big cigar and some top-shelf scotch. In my prime, I probably would’ve gone to go see a good movie at the theatre, too.
But I gotta tell ya, I don’t think I’m missing out on too much at the box office these days.
How many more Jurassic Parks do they need to make?
Let me know when the dinosaurs win.
Even stranger than dinosaurs roaming the earth again, is Missouri playing in the Southeastern Conference
They played some fine football in the Big 8, you know.
But I have to imagine these guys are tired of getting smacked on their whatchamacallits by the rest of the SEC by now.
Especially by Georgia.
Do you remember when that freshman Nick Chubb came in for Gurley here?
My God could he run. Still can, too.
I guess I just think motivation and the odds tend to catch up with ya at some point. Maybe these Tigers can, too. Don’t count them out you guys.
How many injuries does Georgia have vs Missouri? More than you can count, I guarantee it
Stetson’s feeling last week’s game a little bit. I think a lot of people expected he’d be on the bench sooner in that one. Our Big Jalen Carter can hardly walk out there.
A.D. Mitchell, Arian Smith out, too.
The running backs are all sorts of banged up.
And we could be missing Bullard back there in the secondary with a suspension.
We’ve taken some shots on the depth chart here, you guys, and I don’t like it.
I know, I know Kirby Smart’s recruited well and we have depth
But just like in those Jurassic Park films, you split up your people too much, and you are liable to get eaten up.
And that’s anywhere you go on the road in the SEC, as you know.
Plus their young wide receiver went on a social media cleanse.
I’ve never tried any kind of social media or any kind of cleanse. But I have to think you’d play better without all those Twits and Tik Taks.
I hope we can stop him. We’ll see what we can do.
We got all day to wait for this thing to kick off here in Mizzura. I’d probably take a nap but I just can’t sleep.
Who will hold the kicks for Podlesny if Bennett gets too beaten up?
I just don’t know you guys.
