We took the time on Sunday night and took one final look at Georgia’s Duck Hunt vs Oregon. Kirby Smart’s players and staff already moved on, of course.

But Dawgs fans will enjoy this one for quite some time.

DawgsHQ’s Jake Rowe, Palmer Thombs and myself ate, drank and breathed the game all day Saturday.

So a little bit of rest – and some context from the rest of the College Football world – goes a long way.

If you aren’t already subscribed to The Georgia Show on your favorite Podcast platform, you may find this week’s episode here (Apple) and here (Spotify).

You can also find us on DawgsHQ’s YouTube channel.

(Shameless self-promotion, because we need the help of every Dawg out there: please take a moment and help us boost that video to 100 likes, and our account to 1,000 followers)

First things first: Let’s get our final thoughts on Georgia vs Oregon out into the world before moving on to Samford

This week’s discussion included:

Darnell Washington‘s hurdle abilities

– Georgia head football coach Kirby Smart‘s leather helmet wardrobe malfunctions

– Georgia tight end coach Todd Hartley‘s mustache

– How much better Georgia’s football team looked than all of the other teams in College Football this season

– Postgame press conference highlights from Kirby Smart, Stetson Bennett, Christopher Smith and Dan Jackson

Of course we got more into Georgia’s dominance on the football field. But you already knew about all of that watching the game and our Saturday night postgame show.

Sunday nights are about all the stuff we missed, and about all the stuff we just can’t help but gush about again.

And this Sunday night, we also tested the waters on the Stetson Bennett-for-Heisman campaign

I know, it’s early.

And Stetson Bennett still hasn’t faced any SEC defensive competition.

But I had to ask the question.

Rowe and Palmer didn’t see eye-to-eye on this one, and I understand that it’s incredibly early to kick that topic around.

Then again, I also saw a ton of buzz in my group threads and on social media this weekend, so it gave me a good excuse to bring it up.

With Samford coming to town now, Georgia’s football players and Kirby Smart have to turn the page to avoid a lapse in focus and respect after this Power-5 plastering.

The way Smart has team locked in after an offseason of hearing about how great they were, however, should help Georgia fans sleep easy on any thoughts about overlooking the opponent.

Rowe and Palmer get back to looking ahead to the other Bulldogs with Kirby Smart / player media availability today.
