Georgia's week one kickoff time, network officially set
Georgia’s quest to defend the National Championship will begin in earnest on September 3 with a long-awaited matchup against the Oregon Ducks.
We now know when that contest will take place, as toe will meet leather at 3:30 PM on ABC per a release from the network:
“On Saturday, Sept. 3, defending national champion Georgia kicks off its season on slightly neutral ground – in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium – against Pac-12 powerhouse Oregon in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC). While the teams have only met once previously, there will be plenty of familiar faces for new Oregon head coach Dan Lanning, the defensive coordinator who helped lead the Bulldogs’ top-ranked defense to their first College Football Playoff trophy in January alongside former boss Kirby Smart.”
