The GHSA State Championships are back on today, and on the final day, we’re taking a look at the names you need to watch from the Georgia perspective in the matchups of the best the Peach State has to offer.

1:00 PM – Prince Avenue Christian vs. Hebron Christian – Private

There’s one major Georgia target to monitor in this one, though he is a bit far out of putting ink to paper. 2027 running back Andrew Beard is the nephew of Georgia great Garrison Hearst, and you wouldn’t be off base to see some shades of his uncle in his game. Despite being just a sophomore, the Bulldogs are already monitoring this guy heavily, and he will be a household name when his cycle comes around.

Outside of Beard, there are multiple names Georgia courted in the Class of 2025, such as one-time commit Christian Garrett and Hebron defensive lineman Sichan John and athlete Gerrit Kemp.

4:00 PM – Jefferson vs. Calhoun – AAA

No major names to know yet in this one where Georgia is concerned. Jefferson outside linebacker Kelan Butler received a few looks and is considered a nice athlete for the class, and Texas commit Emaree Winston will feature for Calhoun.

7:00 PM – Grayson vs. Carrollton – AAAAAA

If you’re expecting star power in this one, you are right to do so. This matchup of the titans features plenty of names you know, should know, or will know down the line.

For Grayson, the standout is 2026 outside linebacker Tyler Atkinson, already considered one of the top prospects in the cycle and a multi-time visitor to Athens. The Dawgs are chasing him in major way, but they are far from alone in the pursuit. Still, this is a name to know now if you don’t.

2027 defensive tackle Waylon Wooten has some early interest from the Georgia side of things, as well. Grayson also features Florida signee Joseph Mbatchou, a high upside athlete whose name you might hear down the line in the Cocktail Party.

Carrollton, meanwhile, has plenty to offer, as well. Everyone knows Colorado quarterback signee Julian Lewis and his dalliances with the Dawgs, but beyond him, the Trojans feature a ton of talent.

Athlete Ryan Mosley has visited Athens several times and is feeling the Dawgs press. They seem to be leaning wide receiver, but he has capabilities at defensive back, as well. Either way, he’s a wanted man for the Bulldogs.

Elsewhere, wide receiver Peyton Zachary is a name to monitor, and former Alabama offensive line commit Zykie Helton is one to keep familiar with. Former Alabama defensive back commit Dorian Barney is also on the radar in a major way.
