Four-star OL Dontrell Glover stays home, signs with Georgia
Alabama once held the commitment of offensive lineman Dontrell Glover, but he reopened his recruitment in January of this year and seemingly never looked back. That ended up being good news for the Georgia Bulldogs.
A four-star prospect out of Fairburn, Georgia’s Langston Hughes High School, Glover ranks as the nation’s No. 342 overall prospect in the Class of 2025 and the No. 24 interior offensive lineman per the On3 Industry Ranking. Glover is also the No. 46 prospect in the Peach State for the cycle.
Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, and South Carolina were among those who also offered pursuit of the senior lineman throughout, but after committing to the Bulldogs, Glover remained solid throughout.
“Georgia became my top school when I decommitted. When I decommitted, there were a lot of schools on me. I went to Georgia for a spring practice and I was right back at Georgia for the spring game. I could see myself playing in Athens, playing in Sanford Stadium and calling this place home,” Glover told Chad Simmons upon committing. “I feel like Georgia is going to go above the moon. We’re going to be one of those teams that nobody can stop. When I get there, we’re going to go for a national championship. I know that. When I get to Georgia, it is going to be a great place and we have a great chance to do big things.”

Scouting Report on Dontrell Glover
“He projects as a guard at the next level, he’s a guy that has been on the radar for some time and was committed to Alabama for a chunk of his recruitment before opening things up. I think he’s just a physical run blocker. He has a nasty disposition. He’s also solid in the run game and has a physicality. In terms of his physical build, he’s not as tall as a lot of the other linemen on Georgia’s roster. He’s around 6’3, 300 pounds. He’s certainly still stout for his frame. He has a good anchor in pass protection. He’s played pretty high-level football. I think he’s among the top group of offensive linemen in the state of Georgia. It makes sense why Georgia would want a guy like that in a power program. He’s one that they’ve actively recruited.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power on Dontrell Glover
