Jaheim Singletary announces transfer to Arkansas
Former Georgia cornerback Jaheim Singletary is headed to play for a former Bulldog assistant next season. A freshman in 2022, Singletary will suit up for Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks in 2023.
Pittman announced the transfer on Tuesday saying that Singletary was on an official visit over the weekend and that the Razorbacks are “excited” about the “big-time player out of Georgia.”
Singletary is a former five-star recruit out of Jacksonville in the Class of 2022. At just under 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, Singletary finished the 2022 cycle ranked as the nation’s No. 27 overall prospect. He was the No. 4 cornerback in the country as well as the No. 5 player in Florida, all according to the industry-generated, equally weighted On3 Consensus.
Singletary appeared in just four games for Georgia during the Bulldogs’ 2022 National Championship season. He did not record a stat and played the fewest snaps among the scholarship cornerbacks – Kelee Ringo, Kamari Lassiter, Daylen Everette, Nyland Green and Julian Humphrey. Everette and Humphrey were classmates of Singletary’s in the Class of 2022, and all three were top-100 players per the On3 Consensus. With Ringo off to the NFL, the remaining corners like AJ Harris, Daniel Harris, Chris Peal, Justyn Rhett and Kyron Jones – plus the talented ones that entered in the Class of 2023 – are left to battle for the open spot.

Singletary was one of ten transfers out of Georgia this offseason. Only one, Dominick Blaylock, remains uncommitted. MJ Sherman, Arik Gilbert and Jacob Hood all headed west to Nebraska to play under the new staff led by Matt Rhule. AD Mitchell is headed home to Texas, Brett Seither chose Georgia Tech and Bill Norton is going to Arizona. Meanwhile, Ryland Goede and Trezmen Marshall decided to stay in the SEC at Mississippi State and Alabama respectively. Georgia did however sign three transfers, all from the SEC: Dominic Lovett (Missouri), Rara Thomas (Mississippi State) and Deyon “Smoke” Bouie (Texas A&M).
Georgia begins spring practice a week from today on March 14. The Bulldogs will go through 15 practice sessions, including three scrimmages, all culminating on April 15th with the G-Day spring game. Then, the transfer portal will open once again for a shorter period in May where players can enter post-spring but still play come the fall for their new school.
