Police Report: Full details of alleged incident involving Georgia DL Jamaal Jarrett last June
Full details are now available surrounding the alleged incident involving Georgia freshman defensive lineman Jamaal Jarrett last June when he was on his official visit in the Classic City. Two separate police reports have been obtained by DawgsHQ chronicling the investigation that resulted in Jarrett not being charged for a sexual assault.
The report contains the initial narrative from Jarrett’s accuser, a second report that includes another report from the accuser and Jarrett himself, a collection of text messages after the alleged incident, and the reasoning behind the Athens-Clarke County Police Department’s decision not to pursue charges. DawgsHQ lays out the details for it’s readers below.
Warning: Some of the details are graphic in a sexual nature.
Initial Interview – June 11, 2022
An ACCPD police officer is dispatched to an Athens hotel where he meets with a 20-year-old female. That young lady states that she was forced by Jarrett to have oral sex.
She tells the officer that the two met on instagram in late March of 2022. An on-line relationship formed as they continued to converse through social media and texts until June 7, 2022.
At that point, Jarrett and the young woman decided to meet in person. Jarrett initiated the meet with a message asking her if she was “trying to link.”
Jarrett, 16-years-old at the time, was set to arrive for his official visit at Georgia on June 10. The aforementioned female, in an effort to meet and spend time with Jarrett in person, elected to get a room at the same hotel where Jarrett was staying.
An evening in the hotel resulted in the two spending most of the night together. She states that the two had consensual sex with a condom. Jarrett requested to remove the condom and the female complied.
Once the two were finished having intercourse, Jarrett left to participate in his official visit activities at Georgia. He returned to the young lady’s room between the hours of 2am and 4am where the female began performing oral sex on him again.
According to the young lady, every thing was consensual until Jarrett started filming with his phone. At that point Jarrett’s accuser states that she told him no and that she wanted to stop.
She then claims that Jarrett grabbed her by her head and forced her to keep going. She said that it was so forceful that it caused some of the glue attaching her wig to break loose from the front and side parts of her head.
Jarrett allegedly reached climax after that with the police report detailing graphic details shared by his accuser. The used condom and towels were collected as evidence by the ACCPD.
At that point the young lady says that the two spent the next couple of hours in her bed until Jarret’s alarm went off. At that point he went back to his room.
Jamaal Jarrett Interview — June 11, 2022
Jarrett made his way to the Athens-Clarke County Police’s East Precinct where he was accompanied by his mother and Georgia director of player support and operations Bryant Gantt. Jarrett told officers that he wanted to give a statement but only to a detective.
He spoke to police voluntarily, with his mother and Gantt in the room, and discussed his version of the events of Friday evening and Saturday morning. At this time his accuser was “at the FPC with SANE and an advocate from The Cottage. She was getting a SANE Exam.”
Jarrett told police a similar story about how the two had met on social media and had been exchanging messages since then. He stated that he went to her room before attending a dinner event that night and that it was the first time they had met in person.
According to Jarrett, the young lady almost immediately began performing fellatio. He says that he had to leave afterward but they arranged a meeting for later in that evening. The two were in communication throughout the evening per Jarrett’s account.
When he returned to her room later that night, Jarrett says that the two had intercourse and she performed oral sex on him again. He said that he wanted to video and she agreed, claiming that she held the phone “for the first time.”
The two eventually went to sleep and he got up later to go back to his room. Per Jarrett, his accuser started to complain of being tired toward the end of their time together but he then said that she resumed performing oral sex after that.
When the officer asked Jarrett what might cause her to “change her tone” and give a different version of events, he wasn’t sure. He then mentioned how there was a text message conversation that ensued the morning after the alleged incident.
Jarrett claims that he was busy with events and tours and became short with his accuser. She was checking on him and Jarrett felt that his short responses might have angered her.
At that point he gave his phone, which was in airplane mode, over the the Athens-Clarke County Police. He and his mother signed consent forms for it to be searched while also providing the passcode. Jarrett agreed to buccal swabs that were sent as evidence with the SAECK.
Second Interview with female accuser – June 11, 2022
Officer Daniel Schmidt, who conducted the interview with Jarrett, then went to the FPC to meet with the accuser and an advocate. The interview was recorded onto a DVD.
The accuser told Schmidt that she was conflicted on what to do. She stated that she cared for Jarrett and his future. She went on to confirm the details of how they met and formed a relationship. Her story matched up with Jarrett’s and said that she first saw him during the Celebration Saturday National Championship Parade in January of 2022.

Jarrett’s accuser went on to describe the events of the previous night and morning. Officer Schmidt goes on to say that it was clear at that point that there was “no problem” until the camera became involved.
That’s when things became ambiguous according to the investigator. It was unclear at that point whether Jarrett forced her into anything or if she only had an issue it being videoed. The accuser states that she said no, but it was a “different kind of no” like saying “I’m tired” “Do I have to?” “My jaws are tired.” The police report uses quotations, indicating that those were her words.
Schmidt reports that during this interview and multiple others of the follow-up nature, the accuser didn’t articulate force being used at any point. She did mention that the glue used for her wig was broken and that it was pulled back, but the officer says that, “as described” it seemed to indicate that it had happened accidentally during “extremely enthusiastic sex/oral sex.”
Her details in the second and follow-up interviews also lined up “entirely” with what Jarrett had told the officer. Jarrett’s accuser was asked whether or not she controlled the phone for video purposes during their sexual encounter and confirmed that she held the phone for the first video.
In addition, she confirmed the details of the text exchange later that morning and showed the officer those messages on her phone.
The text message exchange…
Below is the text-message conversation between Jarrett and his accuser in the hours after the alleged incident. ACCPD inspected the phones belonging to both parties. The messages begin at 6:22 a.m. on June 11, 2022

Follow-up details and decision to not pursue charges against Jarrett…
In the days and conversations after June 11, via phone, Jarrett’s accuser remained uncertain about whether or not to proceed but did ultimately decide that she wanted the case “potentially prosecuted.” She stated that she didn’t want it to happen to someone else.
Schmidt says in his report that by that time he had already determined that the evidence of a crime was not present.
“I had also reviewed and clarified the details of (her) own testimony with her to the point of confirming that she did not at any point articulate any crime being committed against her (she never directly told him to stop, took any action to try to top any given action, or articulated forced used.)”
Schmidt went on to have a conversation with Jarrett’s accuser about how, with him being 16 years of age, she was in the clear involving the sexual acts themselves. There were other charges detailed in the report that could be pursued but Schmidt told the young lady that he had no intention of pursuing those.
The circumstances were explained to Jarrett’s accuser and she was told that no further action would be taken.
Schmidt also reports that, upon checking Jarrett’s phone, the Georgia defensive lineman was telling the truth about having deleted the videos. Those were not found on his device when it was inspected via external software.
