WATCH: Highlights of new Georgia QB commitment Jared Curtis
Georgia added a massive piece to its 2026 class on Saturday with one of the top players in the country. Nashville Christian (Nashville, Tenn.) quarterback Jared Curtis, while in Athens, gave his pledge to the Georgia staff. He is currently UGA’s only commitment in the 2026 class. The Bulldogs have five in the 2025 class.
In Curtis the Bulldogs are getting one of their top targets in that cycle. They targeted him early on and made him a priority despite the fact that he has just two years of high school ball under his belt. His sophomore highlights show why.
At 6-foot-3 215 pounds, Curtis is the nation’s No. 14 overall prospect for the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes all four sites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the nation’s No. 3 quarterback and the top player in Tennessee.
He is coming off a sophomore season where he completed 180 of 321 passes for 2,522 yards, 25 touchdowns, and was intercepted nine times according to MaxPreps.com. Curtis also ran the football 100 times for 543 yards and a 13 touchdowns. Seven of those rushing touchdowns came in the final four games of the season.

Georgia landed Ryan Puglisi at quarterback in its No. 1 ranked 2024 class. The Bulldogs haven’t yet bridged the gap between Puglisi and Curtis in the 2025 class. They are heavily recruiting Matt Zollers out of Pennsylvania and JuJu Lewis, a USC commitment, out of the Peach State. Ryan Montgomery, who is from Ohio, is also on UGA’s board.
