Jared Wilson makes official his declaration for 2025 NFL Draft
Georgia center Jared Wilson just made official what many assumed earlier today after he accepted an invite to the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The fourth-year junior has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
A native of North Carolina, Wilson spent just one season as a starter for Georgia, being among the first men on the field in 12 of 14 games. He missed two games due to injury and was the backup to Sedrick Van Pran each of his first three seasons on campus. Wilson earned Second-Team All-SEC selection by the league’s coaches.

“Dawg Nation, To begin, I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to play football at the University of Georgia! Thank you to Coach Smart for believing in me and having a vision that I once did not see. Thank you to Coach Searels for pushing me to be the best on and off the field. To my teammates, thank you for making these 4 years the greatest of my life! All the blood, sweat, and tears put on the field created bonds that will last a lifetime, and I am extremely grateful,” Wilson wrote. “… To the best fans in the land, thank you for welcoming a kid from North Carolina with open arms and making me feel right at home! It has been an honor to play for this prestigious program for the past 4 years! It’s time I take all that my coaches and teammates, current and past, have instilled in me and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. Go Dawgs!”
Wilson’s departure means that Georgia will lose four of its five starting offensive linemen from this year’s team. Xavier Truss is out of eligibility while Tate Ratledge and Dylan Fairchild both have announced they too are entering the draft. Others to declare include quarterback Carson Beck, wide receiver Arian Smith, defensive lineman Mykel Williams, linebacker Jalon Walker and safety Malaki Starks. Wide receiver Dominic Lovett, tight end Ben Yurosek, defensive lineman Warren Brinson, defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse, linebacker Smael Mondon and safety Dan Jackson are all out of eligibility and will be in the draft class as well.
