Georgia landed a top defensive line target on Tuesday as Jordan Thomas (Don Bosco Prep; Ramsey, N.J.) joined the class. He’s the Bulldogs’ 19th commitment of the 2024 class after choosing UGA over the likes of Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers and South Carolina.
At 6-foot-5 325 pounds, Thomas is currently ranked as the nation’s No. 120 overall prospect per the On3 Industry-Ranking, a weighted average that includes the ratings from the four recruiting evaluation websites. He’s the No. 18 defensive lineman in the country and the top prospect in The Garden State.
His junior highlights show why Georgia made him a priority. Despite being well over 300 pounds, Thomas plays defensive end and defensive tackle where he flashes pass-rush and run-stuffing tools. He joins the class as UGA’s second commitment along the defensive line.

Thomas committed to Georgia fresh off an official visit.
“It went great,” Thomas told DawgsHQ of the trip. “The environment was great, and you could tell that everyone over there loves football. We spent time with the coaches and players. We hung out and played games together and got to know each other more. It was a great experience.”
The Georgia staff used a tag-team effort to land the coveted defender. Tray Scott, the Bulldogs’ defensive line coach, spearheaded the effort to reel Thomas in but he got an assist from New Jersey native Fran Brown, UGA’s defensive backs coach. Brown has helped the Bulldogs recruit the Northeast quite effectively since joining the staff in early 2022.
The addition of Thomas only strengthen’s Georgia’s hold on the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class.
