Jordyn Kee announces commitment, joins Georgia Class of 2024
Georgia men’s basketball coach Mike White told members of the UGA Athletics Association Board of Directors that the Bulldogs had locked up a player last week and expected an announcement in the near future. On Wednesday morning, that decision became public knowledge as 2024 combo guard Jordyn Kee announced his commitment to the Dawgs.
Kee chose Georgia over announced finalists Florida State, Georgetown, Michigan and Missouri along with Bryant. Other schools that showed interest included High Point, NC State and Florida Atlantic.
A three-star product of The Sagemont School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Kee comes in at 6-foot-4, 170 pounds. He is ranked the No. 274 player overall by the On3 Industry Ranking. Sources tell DawgsHQ Kee is expected to redshirt during his first year at Georgia.
As a senior this past season at Sagemont, Kee helped lead the Lions to a 25-6 overall record and a state title. He scored 16 points in the championship game, more than his season average of 11.2 an outing on 48% shooting. He made 40 of 93 attempts from 3-point range (43%). Kee also pulled down 3.1 rebounds per game while dishing out 4.1 assists, also tying for the team-high in steals per game with 1.4.

Kee joins a Georgia Class of 2024 that ranks No. 9 in the nation and a team that returns Silas Demary, Blue Cain and Dylan James after a run to the NIT semifinals. The Bulldogs won 20 games for the first time in eight seasons and add to their roster five-star plus+ Asa Newell and former Kentucky commit Somto Cyril in the Class of 2024 along with MAAC Rookie of the Year De’Shayne Montgomery (Mount St. Marys), Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year Justin Abson (Appalachian State), All-MAAC first teamer Dakota Leffew (Mount St. Mary’s), RJ Godfrey (Clemson), a key contributor to the Tigers’ run to the Elite 8, and former Vanderbilt leading scorer Tyrin Lawrence from the transfer portal. Publicly, Georgia has two scholarship spots remaining on its roster of 13, although Mike White indicated to reporters that number could be different internally with an announcement pending and potentially a walk-on being put on scholarship.
