George Pickens told reporters he wanted to run a “4.3, 4.4” 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

Well, George Pickens just ran an official 4.47 40-yard dash.

He initially posted unofficial times of 4.43, followed by a 4.4 flat in his NFL Combine attempts at Lucas Oil Stadium.

George Pickens wanted to prove he could be a first-round Draft pick at the NFL Combine

With these 40-yard dash times, it looks like George Pickens may have just done it.

Teammates Jamaree Salyer and Nolan Smith shared their support for George Pickens in their sentiments.

“It’s kind of like a volcano waiting to erupt. Everybody knows he’s good. But I don’t think people really understand how special he is,” Salyer said.

“That’s one of those special talents, man. A team would be lucky to have that on their roster. He’s freaky. I’ll leave it at that.”

George Pickens seemed to know he had what it took to perform well at the 40. Maybe scouts doubted him because of his ACL injury and recovery.

It didn’t matter between the lasers.

Anyone who saw Pickens torch defensive backs in his 2021 return knows he could bring that same speed to the NFL Combine.

“I’m very confident,” Pickens told NFL Combine reporters. “I know I can present to teams exactly what a first-round pick is.”

With this speed, and his prophetic statement, it certainly helps his chances.

“Probably a 4.3, 4.4, and people don’t really know that,” Pickens said. “Me just saying that number, people are like, ‘Whoa.”
