Kirby Smart shares positive report on Jordan Hall, Jared Wilson, Chauncey Bowens
ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia’s injury updates seem to be trending in the right direction at the right time. Ahead of the Bulldogs’ road trip to top-ranked Texas, Kirby Smart shared that Jordan Hall and Jared Wilson both have been on the practice field more this week than they have the last two while Chauncey Bowens, who didn’t dress on Saturday, has been back in action.
“Yeah, Jared’s been good here. Jared’s been practicing. Seems to be doing more the last two days than he has in previous weeks. That’s good, and he repped out there today.Jordan’s done more than he has the last two weeks. He’s been out there repping, taking reps with us, and getting better,” Smart said. “Jordan’s been a long, hard process. And he’s having to get comfortable with the pain that he has. And it jumps up and bites him at times when you never know, it might just hit him on a rep. That’s kept him from taking the rep load he’d like to take. But he’s out there today doing more this week than he did last week. And Jared was too.”
“He’s fine. He’s practicing,” he added on Bowens. “He had a little injury he was dealing with last week but he’s been practicing all this week.”
A pair of linemen, Hall and Wilson both have been sidelined with lower body injuries. Hall has yet to play this season while Wilson’s time sidelined has been limited to just the past two games. Both were listed as game-time decisions and weren’t able to go, but Smart did share on Saturday that Wilson was available as a backup if needed.

The news on Bowens is big considering Georgia’s situation at running back. While only a freshman, he can provide depth in a room that will be without Branson Robinson this week after suffering an MCL sprain on Saturday. UGA is already without Roderick Robinson (toe) in the running back room.
A full availability report will be shared by the SEC on Wednesday night with updates to come Thursday, Friday and 90 minutes before kick. Georgia and Texas get their game underway at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday night on ABC. The Longhorns enter as 3.5-point favorites per VegasInsider.
