Ladd McConkey erupted on the Georgia football scene as a redshirt freshman. Maybe he's easy to overlook at 6'0" 185. Maybe his first three starts against Clemson, Vanderbilt and Arkansas didn't impress them enough. If SEC defenses didn't take Ladd McConkey seriously by then, the Auburn game put them all on notice.
