WATCH: Georgia scores again on Ladd McConkey's touchdown catch
ATHENS, Ga — No. 1 Tennessee at No. 3 Georgia has been all home team since the Bulldogs fumbled on their opening drive. The Volunteers got six out of that but Georgia has roared back to score two touchdowns since.
A 13-yard run by Stetson Bennett on 3rd and 10 staked Georgia to a 7-3 lead. Then the Bulldogs almost picked up a safety but a fumble and scoop by an offensive lineman saved the Vols from disaster deep in their own territory.

Pregame
- Former Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean, now of the Philadelphia Eagles, calling the Dawgs at midfield before the game. A noticeably loud welcome for Dean.
- Junior running back Kendall Milton did not look limited during the pregame warmups and appeared to be going second during position group drills. He’s missed the last two games – not dressing versus Vanderbilt and not playing against Florida.
- Sophomore offensive tackle Amarius Mims appears to be good to go. He suffered a knee injury against Florida that looked bad initially, but he’s down there working with the No. 2 offense in pregame warmup.
- It looks like junior defensive tackle Jalen Carter is making a return to the starting lineup. He has been dealing with ankle and knee injuries for most of the season but came back last week against Florida. He was announced in the probable starting lineups.
- Redshirt freshman Devin Willock appears to be in line for his first career start. He was announced as the probable starter at left guard and has worked with the ones at that position during pre-game warmup. Xavier Truss is dealing with a turf toe but he is getting reps with the No. 2 offense.
- Georgia will be without AD Mitchell for this game. He is not dressed out.
- The team hasn’t yet come out for pregame warmup in full pads but there were plenty of players working out down on the field earlier in t-shirts. Arik Gilbert was down there with the tight ends but we did not see sophomore wideout AD Mitchell.
- Senior outside linebacker Nolan Smith and fourth-year junior safety Dan Jackson are here for this one. Smith is in a sling after surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle. Jackson also recently had surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot.
- Here are the depth charts listed on the flip cards provided to media in the press box. Nothing too crazy, but we’ve included a couple of notes for you here.
- Doing some tests on the videoboard here before fans start filing in: Devin Willock announced as a starter. Could mean no Xavier Truss (turf toe). Nothing else too surprising on either side of the ball.
