Landon Roldan is off to a terrific start to his senior season and that includes exploits on both sides of the ball. The Georgia wideout pledge, who is from the Bulldogs backyard in Bogart, Ga., intercepted a pass against Jefferson on Friday night and returned if 41 yards for the touchdown.

Reading that a player picked off a pass and took it back for a score sounds impressive but it doesn’t do justice to what Roldan did. When faced with limited green grass in front of him, the 6-foot-1 playmaker turned on the jets and beat everyone to the end zone.

In addition to his play against Jefferson, Roldan has multiple 100-yard games to his credit already this season. That includes a showing last week where he caught eight passes for 185 yards.

Roldan camped at Georgia twice this summer with sources telling DawgsHQ that he posted multiple 40-yard dash times in the 4.4-second range. He impressed the Bulldog staff enough that they extended an offer in June and got a commitment from him less than two weeks later. He also strongly considered Georgia Tech where there is a connection between high school quarterback, Harrison Faulkner, whose father is the Yellow Jackets’ offensive coordinator. Faulkner spend 2020 to 2022 at Georgia as an offensive analyst before landing the Tech job.

Roldan had a breakout junior season. He caught 50 passes for 1,029 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Titans. He’s rated as a three-star prospect by the On3 Injustry Ranking, a weighted-average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the No. 579 overall prospect, No. 92 wide receiver, and No. 62 player in Georgia.

Georgia has four wideout commitments in the 2025 class and Roldan is the lowest-rated of the bunch. Talyn Taylor (Geneva; Geneva, Ill.), Tyler Williams (Armwood; Sefner, Fla.), and Thomas Blackshear (Calvary Day; Savannah, Ga.) are all four-star prospects.
