Lewis Cine broke his leg in a gruesome injury this past football season. Now, the former Georgia Bulldog has an opportunity for the Vikings.

Minnesota drafted Cine in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The rookie’s season didn’t go as well as his fellow first-round Dawg Draft picks.

Devonte Wyatt finished strong for the Green Bay Packers, where Quay Walker had 121 total tackles.

Travon Walker‘s Jaguars made the Playoffs.

Jordan Davis and third-round pick Nakobe Dean have a chance to make Georgia history with the Eagles.

So with all that in mind, a video like this is worth celebrating for Lewis Cine, who can gain some serious ground with a good offseason and camp season for the Vikings.

We all know the talent is there. The key is to bounce back healthier than ever.

Cine appears to be on that exact path, as this video at the start of Super Bowl week shows:

The injury happened on October 2nd in the Vikings’ London game against New Orleans.

Cine hadn’t earned a spot as a starter in Minnesota’s defense, but he did have a role on the punt return team.

A Saints kick brought a painful end to Cine’s rookie campaign.

I won’t post a link to the injury. It was a compound fracture, and as you may know, they’re nasty.

Cine had to stay back in London for the ensuing surgery.

Kirby Smart doesn’t have much time to watch NFL games in the season. But even he was aware of the horrific blow to Lewis Cine’s leg.

“It was sickening to see,” Smart said when asked about Cine’s injury.

Back then, Cine’s immediate prognosis was grim

A broken leg in a different country. Can you imagine? That would be terrible in Minnesota or New Orleans, let alone in the UK.

But it didn’t take Cine long to forecast his recovery goals.

In November, he told reporters he expected to be ready for Minnesota’s 2023 season opener.

With the Vikings hiring Brian Flores as their defensive coordinator, Cine may have a fresh chance to win a starting spot next season as well.

Not only does Cine have the right physical approach, he also learned a thing or two about the mental approach at Georgia.

It’s all good vibes from here for Lewis Cine. Compound fracture and all.
