Mansell: Another new name at WR, Georgia hoops is heating up

Jeremy Johnson has made mention of him, but with a crazy 100-meter time this weekend, North Oconee wide receiver Dallas Dickerson is a name you need to know. He is getting offers, but with a 10.47-second time on Saturday things are about to ramp up quickly for him. UGA has stayed in contact with him and he has good size too at 6-1, 180 pounds.
*** Georgia got a huge win on Saturday night in Austin. That game was never in doubt and I am telling you that March is all about guard play. Silas Demary and Blue Cain have taken their games to new levels for the Bulldogs and Tyrin Lawrence has been much better since her returned from injury, too.
Demary wants the ball and he is creating on the offensive end. Cain may not be lighting it up consistently on the floor, but his effort Is not going unnoticed with loose balls and rebounding. He had a big three to end the first half last night and I thought that took some steam out of Texas, which had been on little bit of a roll before that.
I think UGA needs to split these games this week and that should be good enough to give them some wiggle room with the committee. South Carolina has played well lately, so that is going to be big challenge in Columbia on Tuesday.

*** Another strong day for Georgia Bulldogs at the combine with Arian Smith running a 4.36 in the 40-yard dash. That was expected from him. I’m told that he has run some faster times down in South Florida, but 4.36 is still elite and I’m excited for him. His tape on special teams is going to make him more attractive to teams too.
*** I think Jared Wilson is going have a big day on Sunday. He has a chance to make a case for the first center drafted and the Falcons may be in the market for one. So saying that, they will definitely take a receiver from Montana State with their second-round pick, just going off history.
