As odd as it sounds, Georgia is almost certainly done on the offensive line for the 2024 recruiting cycle. After an eight-day span that saw the Bulldogs land four offensive line commitments and five pledges in total, they now have six in the class. The latest came from Kankakee (Kankakee, Ill.) offensive tackle Marques Easley.
The four-star prospect got an offer from UGA this spring and it didn’t take long for Stacy Searels to steer the Bulldogs to the front of the pack. There’s a reason that Georgia didn’t cap the number at five once it made an unexpected move with Michael Uini and Easley’s junior highlight show why. He’s a fantastic prospect.
At a shade over 6-foot-5 and 345 pounds, Easley is the nation’s No. 243 overall prospect per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes rankings from all four recruiting coverage websites. He’s America’s No. 18 offensive tackle prospect and the No. 5 player in Illinois.
Malachi Toliver and Marcus Harrison were the first offensive linemen to join Georgia’s class this spring. The next four committed on June 30 or later. Uini went first and he was followed by Daniel Calhoun on July 5. Nyier Daniels made the call for UGA on July 8 and Easley went the next day.

Why Easley chose Georgia…
According to On3Sports Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, Easley was pretty much locked in on Georgia after his official visit on June 2. He took other visits but he was also recruiting for the Bulldogs behind the scenes.
The back-to-back National Champions have plenty to sell right now and offensive line development could be considered one of the top items.
“Georgia is the best fit for me,” Easley told On3. “At Georgia, everyone is big, everyone is dogs and everyone is aggressive. And that is my style. Georgia is best for me to get to the NFL because they develop players, they compete hard and it is a great program that knows how to balance football and you time. Both me and my mom love it there.”
