Georgia football picked up a highly-touted freshman in edge rusher Marvin Jones Jr. His playing impact is yet to be measured on the college level, but he already loves the Dawgs.

In case you missed his attendance at the Orange Bowl, here’s the proof from this past December in photos taken by Dawgnation’s Jeff Sentell.

(Michigan fans definitely knew he was there).

The five-star prospect was a five-star fan.

“I just ended up there,” Jones Jr. told Georgia’s NIL collective, Classic City Collective.

He’s a college athlete now. Life comes at you fast.

That means a lot more running with your current teammates, instead of standing and yelling for your future ones.

In the clip above, Jones Jr. shares his favorite and least favorite parts about college ball. His favorite is “being able to say I play for Georgia.”

“My least favorite part is team run,” Jones Jr. said.

Running is tough.

And there’s no stopping it.

Nazir Stackhouse (a strong Georgia football TikTok follow) can vouch for that:

@stackhouse78 According to our strength coach hurts/injuries don’t matter when it’s time to run🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️ #uga #godawgs #georgiafootball #footballplayer #sports #football #footballtiktok #footballtiktok ♬ u think i gaf – Dₑₚₐᵣₜₑd ₕₑₐᵣₜ 🥀

Other than team run, Jones Jr. likes Athens just fine

Marvin Jones Jr. doesn’t need much to stay entertained. Just ball and some fishing.

He didn’t waste much time hooking a hog when he got here, either.

After sending out a request on Twitter for any good fishing holes, Jones Jr. got a bite and an invite to local angler Brian P. Hall’s pond.

“He posted a picture with a big-ass fish,” Jones Jr. said.

“I texted him, and went that same day. It was probably my second-biggest one I ever caught.”

Spoiler alert: Jones Jr. would also go on to post a picture with a big-ass fish.
