Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, Oklahoma St. transfer, commits to Georgia basketball
Oklahoma State basketball transfer Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe committed to Georgia basketball and Mike White on Monday.
The flying Canadian announced his commitment on Instagram.
That isn’t his nickname, as far as I know. I just made that up.
The commitment, however, is true.
Moncrieffe averaged 9.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as a freshman.
It’s a much-needed addition for Mike White’s Georgia basketball program.
Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe joins a handful of other Athens-bound basketball talents via the transfer portal.
Check out his energized commitment below.
Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe joins other transfer portal talents on Mike White’s Georgia basketball roster
Moncrieffe joins a few other Georgia basketball transfer portal additions this month.
Alabama’s Jusaun Holt committed at the end of last week.
Terry Roberts joined from Bradley a few days before that.
Justin Hill committed from Longwood to get the party started.
Georgia saw its fair share of transfer portal departures as Mike White built his staff up in Athens.
The Dawgs are finally seeing some momentum in the opposite direction. The portal giveth, and it taketh away.
For Mike White and the Dawgs, it’s about time they saw it do the former.
