Monroe Freeling, Earnest Greene are game-time decisions for Georgia at Auburn

Georgia is going to wait until after pre-game warmup before making the final call on veteran offensive linemen Monroe Freeling and Earnest Greene. The Bulldog’s starting tackles to begin the season both made the trip to Auburn, and the final SEC student-athlete availability report lists them both as game-time decisions.
Freeling suffered an ankle injury on Georgia’s opening possession vs. Kentucky. Greene has missed three of Georgia’s first five games of the season after starting the opener vs. Marshall.
If Freeling is unable to go, Georgia is expected to turn to Bo Hughley at left tackle. Juan Gaston, a true freshman, started the Kentucky game at right tackle.
Freeling’s start against Kentucky was the 10th of his career. All of them have come at left tackle. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound lineman started the final five games of the 2024 season, including the SEC Championship game win over Texas and the Sugar Bowl loss to Notre Dame.

Greene, a fourth-year junior, has missed three of Georgia’s first five games this season. He started the season opener against Marshall but exited after 19 plays. He sat the following week vs. Austin Peay. He returned to the starting lineup for the Bulldogs win at Tennessee, but he was unable to finish the game. He did not practice during Georgia’s bye week before Alabama and has missed the past two games.
Fifth-year senior Micah Morris, who is not on the availability report in any way, has also been battling injuries this season. He has started all five games to this point, but he entered the year with a broken hand. He suffered a hamstring injury against Alabama, leaving the game for a short period time. The Camden County product experienced a shoulder subluxation (dislocation) against Kentucky, again exiting the game for a short period before returning.
Entering the year, Freeling, Morris, and Greene were, by far, Georgia’s most experienced offensive linemen. Fourth-year junior center Drew Bobo also entered the season with two starts under his belt. Dontrell Glover, a true freshman, is set to start his fourth straight game at right guard.
