Five-star RB Nathaniel Frazier makes the call for Georgia
Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee’s efforts were heavily rewarded on Sunday, as the Bulldogs were on the receiving end of a commitment from four-star ball carrier Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Frazier.
In On3’s rankings, Frazier checks in as a five-star prospect, the No. 15 overall player, and the No. 1 running back in the class.
Elsewhere, Frazier ranks as the nation’s No. 45 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 per the Industry Ranking. The 5-foot-10, 210-pound senior is also the No. 2 running back in the cycle and the No. 4 prospect from California by the same metric.
While the Bulldogs already held two running back commitments for the 2024 cycle (Dwight Phillips and Chauncey Bowens), Frazier was recently clear that coming into a stocked room was nothing he’d shy away from.

“I don’t run from competition at all,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons of Georgia in late July. “I’m a competitor and I want to be in a running back room where every day is hard and I — not to curse — have to work my ass off. So that’s not a problem to me.”
McGee’s influence was also a key motivator in the decision.
“He’s a very quiet guy, but now he shows you exactly who he is,” Frazier told Simmons in June. “He’s a great family guy, he’s a person that you can really learn a lot from and he’s a person that you can see as a coach. You can have a lifelong relationship with him.”
Nathaniel Frazier becomes Georgia’s twenty-seventh commitment in the Class of 2024 and further bolsters what was already the No. 1 ranked overall class prior to his commitment.
On3 Scouting Report on Nathaniel Frazier
“Dynamic every down back with projectable size and home run ability. Measured in at 5-foot-10 and around 210 pounds in the summer prior to his senior season. Has some of the best long speed among top running backs in the 2024 cycle, running a wind-legal 10.77 mark in the 100 meters as a junior. Carries that speed over to the field where he displays arguably the best burst among 2024 running back prospects. Explodes through the hole and consistently defeats defenders’ angles as an outside runner. Has the long speed to pull away once in the open field. Runs with outstanding pace. Makes defenders miss at a high rate, with lateral agility. Side-steps tacklers in confined spaces. Runs with high-level contact balance. Stays grounded on contact and spins out of tackles. Dangerous in the screen game and has upside as a pass catcher given his showings on the camp circuit. Transferred to powerhouse Mater Dei as a junior and split carries in a talented backfield. Does not have the workload or production of most other top running back prospects, but is highly efficient. Rushed for 693 yards and eight touchdowns on 61 carries (11.4 yards per carry) as a junior. More of a skill set evaluation than a pure high school football resume builder heading into his senior season.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings, on Nathaniel Frazier
