National Signing Day Central: Georgia locks up nation's No. 1 class
The NCAA’s Early Signing Period begins on Wednesday but it’s no longer known as ESD. The early period is now National Signing Day and Georgia is trying to lock up the nation’s No. 1 class. The Bulldogs are currently in that top spot with 27 commitments.
They have a chance to add to this class as well. While there could always be surprises, we enter the day thinking that Georgia has a chance to add just one massive target in five-star plus+ Buford safety KJ Bolden. He’s committed to Florida State but both the Bulldogs and Auburn are looking to pry him away.

NSD addition for Georgia
Five-star+ safety KJ Bolden has committed to Georgia on National Signing Day. He flipped from Florida State and the Bulldogs beat out Auburn as well.
News and Notes from National Signing Day
*** UGA came into the day with 27 commitments and the 27th of that bunch, Kris Jones, was announced as a signee at 12:09 p.m. Now the focus turns to Buford safety KJ Bolden, who has a ceremony set for 1 p.m. ET. He will announce his final decision at that time.
*** Georgia’s trio of running backs are all signed with the 11 a.m. ET addition of Frazier. The California native was announced at 8 a.m. PT.
*** The addition of Daniels at 9:47 a.m. gives Georgia over half of its class signed before 10 a.m. on the first day of the Early Signing Period. DawgsHQ continues to expect UGA’s entire class to sign on Wednesday.
*** Georgia came into the day with a pair of Five-star+ commitments, prospects who have a five-star ratings across all rating sites. Both players, Robinson and Williams, have now signed. That comes as no surprise seeing as how both have been on campus and practicing with the team for a couple of days.
*** Auburn Live’s Jeffery Lee has logged a Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) pick for Georgia to flip Bolden from Florida State.
*** The first five minutes of the 8 a.m. hour saw Georgia add two more players. The Bulldogs announced the signing of Jones, an elite defensive back prospect, and the No. 1 player in New Jersey, Thomas.
*** Georgia announced five signees before 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning. The first two signees were running backs in Bowens and Phillips.
